Here are some of the past work assignments of our Interns:

 Our Summer Intern Program 

We are looking for older teens and young adults to work at our retreat center in Sunset, SC over the summer.  Most of the work will involve running our 5 Summer Family Camps.

Three Different Options:
June 7 -June 27
June 28-July 19
Both June 7- July 19 

 The first day of each section will be an orientation and formation period as well as learning the camp program, your roles,  and preparing the retreat center.  

Young Adults, Age 16-24

We are looking for a team of teens and young adults who desire to grow in their faith with others, love the outdoors, and embrace our apostolate of hospitality.   
We need young adults who have a strong faith life.  We need individuals of all varying  temperaments who make up our team.  We need both those who love standing in front of the crowd to those who are happiest setting up the microphones and passing out the songbooks.  We need people with "people" skills, those who like to work with their hands and get dirty, and those who are gifted listeners.

  • To spend part of your summer in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.  We have the largest concentration of waterfalls here.  We also have many trails, lakes, mountains, etc.

  • We are offering a stipend: 
    • ​​​June 7 -June 27, $400
    • June 28- July 19 $400
    • Both June 7- July 19, $800
  • Room and board for the whole time you are here

Here Are a Few Work Details

  Your work could involve. . .
  • Planning and carrying out the activities of the summer family camps.
  • Teaching some of the sessions to the kids, being involved in skits.
  • Leading and assisting in the camp activities like the group games, and talent show.
  • Leading excursions like hikes, tubing.  
  • Lifeguarding and supervising 
  • Babysitting 
  • Leading Arts and Crafts
  • Assisting in cooking, cleaning, and serving food.
  • Cleaning services like changing sheets, cleaning bathrooms, preparing rooms.
  • Sacristan, Worship music leader, accompanying the Priest.
  •  Other daily maintenance, like signing out kayaks, stacking chairs, starting the bonfire, etc.
