Deacon John Breeden from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Charleston is leading the retreat with Keith Kiser, and the Sacramental assistance of the Most Rev. Robert E. Guglielmone of the Diocese of Charleston.
Deacon John Breeden was ordained for the Diocese of Las Vegas in 2011 and has served at St. Patrick's in Charleston since 2018. Deacon John's primary ministries have been directing parish OCIA programs, Sacrament prep. for students, and pre-Cana marriage prep with his wife, Katie. John served 27 years in the Air Force retiring as a colonel in 2014. He now works for a major commercial airline. He and his wife Katie have been married for 37 years and have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Keith F Kiser has served as Head of School at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Greenville for over 25 years. He and his wife, Tami, own Heart Ridge Retreat and Cultural Center and run retreats and Catholic Summer Family camps. He is the father of 10 and Grandfather of 11. Keith attended a Presbyterian Seminary after college before converting to the Catholic faith.
Bishop Robert Guglielmone was the 13th Bishop of Charleston, South Carolina. He was born in New York City on December 30, 1945. He was ordained as a priest in 1978 and became the Bishop of Charleston in 2009. He served as World Chaplain to Catholic Scouting from 2000 to 2009. He resigned as Bishop in 2022.
The men's retreat will be held at Heart Ridge Retreat Center located in Sunset, SC in the Jocassee Wilderness with comfortable lodging, delicious meals, and all linens and towels are provided. The retreat begins with breakfast at 8:30 AM on Saturday morning, March 8 , and ends on Sunday afternoon at 3 PM, with an optional Friday night stay on March 7, with a simple soup meal.
