Abundance of Blessings and Joy at our Summer Camps

Our theme for the summer was "One Thing." This theme was on our t-shirts, posters, and sung frequently in our theme song (Which we could hear people humming at odd times--it's a tune that get's stuck in your head.)  It comes from the direct quote of Jesus as he tells St. Martha that "Only ONE THING is necessary."   We looked at many different angles of this familiar story discovering with each other what it means to have Jesus be that one thing necessary in our lives.  We looked at how this story also teaches us about communication, prayer, and yes, sitting quietly at Jesus' feet.   

Every camp had wonderful families, all unique and inspiring! They are what made the camps special.  We received so many letters and texts of appreciation and encouragement. "What a gift we were given this week. . . ." " This was a beautiful week. . ."  "This is exactly what our family needed. . . "  "Heart Ridge is such a special place. . ."  We can't really explain in this newsletter what an amazing time Summer Family Camp is at Heart Ridge.  You'll just have to come find out for yourself.  

We want to give a big round of applause to our priests, interns, volunteers, and our host families!  We couldn't have done it without you!
