The retreat center has been hopping this spring with lots of weekend retreats. Some of these have been the Fiat: Women's Discernment retreat, the CL Spiritual Exercises and an Ignatian Silent retreat. We've also hosted many families, couples, and individuals who've wanted to experience the beautiful spring in our South Carolina Mountains at our Airbnb houses and Hostel. We're currently getting ready to welcome our 6 summer interns and begin our excited summer camp programs. Our theme for this summer will be "One Thing." This is from the Mary/Martha story in John. We think all families need this valuable lesson from our Savior as we look at how anxious and worried we are about many things. We want to ask, "What's most important?" And speaking of that, we still have room at two of the camps, especially that first one starting Sunday, June 12 and ending on Friday June 17. The kids' age range at that camp is currently 8-17. So if you are looking for a good time for your kids of this age group, please consider coming. We promise you won't regret it! (Of course all ages are welcome--babies are always loved and doted upon.) If that's too soon, how about the one in July that starts on Monday, July 11. Come See Scott Hahn in Greenville
Heart Ridge along with Veritas Catholic Information Center and St. Joseph's Catholic School is thrilled to be hosting one of the most popular theologians and best apologists of our time, Scott Hahn. Don't miss this opportunity to see him while he is in Greenville, SC. "Always Forward," (St. Junipero Serra) We appreciate you reading about and hopefully saying a few prayers for our ministry. As we're growing and expanding, we need lots of wisdom and expertise. We're not always sure where God is going to take us next. We're keeping our mission to the forefront of everything we do. We want to be a place of retreat and refuge in the upstate of SC where God can be discovered in the beauty of nature, art, and others; and where relationships can be refreshed, restored and healed. As we've come to realize so far, this mission is certainly a lot of work! We've washed piles of dishes, scrubbed many toilets, and mowed acres of grass! We just keep showing up and asking, "What's next, God?" We're just thrilled to be a part of it. Not to complain, but we're tired. We know God will provide what we need. We just need to ask. Please pray that God may send us the workers we need to help us in this mission. Thanks for coming on this journey with us.
